On Tuesday, April 8th, we welcomed all the other classes in the school to our Science Fair. This event was part of our efforts to earn the "Discover Primary Science/Curious Minds Gold Award," which we are hoping to win this year.
For the previous three weeks, we worked hard preparing and practicing our experiments, which we demonstrated to the other classes. We showcased our wormery and broad bean seeds, which we are growing on wet kitchen paper in the window.
Each child presented their own experiments including rocket cars, balloons, static electricity, capillary action, air pressure, invisible ink, squash monsters, self-inflating balloons, a volcano and the elasticity of latex (balloons). We thoroughly enjoyed sharing our work with the other children.
